Shelly Van Skyhawk, CEO and Board of Directors

 

Shelly Van Skyhawk is the President and co-founder of Embolden Company Foundation with over 30 years of banking and executive management experience. Starting from the ground up in retail banking industry, Shelly has studied the world of finance and management. Currently, Shelly is a Membership and Workforce Development Manager, teaching and recruiting high school students about healthy, successful careers in the trades. She has been a strong and committed advocate for women and children of domestic violence for decades; assessing, counseling, advising and assisting individuals to navigate the laws and legalities from victim to victor. As an avid volunteer, Shelly has always had a love of nonprofit work and a passion for improving the quality of life in her community.

 

Her professional background and passion have been in learning and development programs; with several certifications and designations such as DDI Learning System, Targeted Selection: Interviewer Trainer, Designing and Delivering Dynamic Learning, What Matters Most and Facilitative Leadership. Shelly has designed and delivered hundreds of different skill-building participant-based and accelerated learning
workshops on various topics, all of which have been tailored to meet her clients’ needs; including, train-the-trainer seminars and certification programs. She is a successful entrepreneur; adhering to integrity, loyalty, commitment and compassion.

Conor O’Hagan, CFO and Board of Directors

 

Conor O’Hagan is the Chief Financial Officer and co-founder of the Embolden Company Foundation. Conor is also the president of the Board of Directors of the Cedar Center Arts (The ARTgarage), a non-profit community arts center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He currently is learning restaurant management and operations at Mark’s East Side, a well-known landmark and supper club.

 

Prior to that Conor has held a variety of non-profit roles. Most recently, he served on the Bowl for Kids’ Sake Leadership Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin. He was the Chair of College Advisors of the YMCA of Wisconsin’s Youth in Government program for three years. He holds both an economics degree and a Business Administration finance degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. His areas of emphasis include public financing, downtown development, and non-profit financial management.
